"In that day the deaf shall hear the words of a book, and out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind shall see." (Isaiah 29:18)
Isaiah promises a coming reversal when Lebanon becomes a fruitful field, the deaf hear the words of a book, and the eyes of the blind see out of their darkness. The ruthless and the scoffer will be cut off, while the meek find fresh joy in the Lord and those who erred in spirit come to understanding.
