Lenten Season · Year A
Second Sunday in Lent
March 1, 2026
Overview & Insights
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
Nicodemus comes to Jesus by night with a question about signs, and Jesus answers with a claim about being born from above that Nicodemus cannot follow. Jesus then widens the conversation from one puzzled teacher to the whole world that God so loves.
