Paul's Farewell to the Ephesian Elders

"Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood." (Acts 20:28)
Paul tells the Ephesian elders that he has not shrunk from declaring the whole counsel of God, then charges them to guard the flock against fierce wolves who will rise even from among themselves. He commends them to God, reminds them that he worked with his own hands, and kneels to pray as they weep at his departure.
