"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which someone found and hid; then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field." (Matthew 13:44)
Jesus compares the kingdom of heaven to hidden treasure, a costly pearl, and a net that gathers fish of every kind. The parables show that the kingdom is worth everything and that a final sorting will come at the close of the age.
