"The LORD is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other." (Deuteronomy 4:39)

Moses asks Israel whether any people has ever heard God speak from fire or seen him rescue a nation as the LORD did in Egypt. He urges them to hold that the LORD alone is God and to keep his commandments.
