"I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb." (Revelation 21:22)
John is carried in the Spirit to a great mountain to see the holy city Jerusalem coming down from God, lit by God's own glory with the Lamb as its lamp. Through the city flows the river of the water of life, and the tree of life on either side bears its fruit for the healing of the nations, so that God's servants will see his face and reign forever.
