John 21:1-19
Breakfast on the Shore and Peter's Restoration
April 30, 2028

Overview & Insights
"Simon son of John, do you love me? ... Feed my sheep." (John 21:16-17)
The risen Jesus meets seven disciples fishing on the Sea of Tiberias, fills their empty net, and shares a charcoal-fire breakfast of bread and fish with them. He then restores Peter with a threefold question that undoes Peter's threefold denial, commissioning him to feed and tend the flock before foretelling the death by which Peter will glorify God.
