Overview & Insights

"Jesus, looking at him, loved him and said, 'You lack one thing; go, sell what you own, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.'" (Mark 10:21)

A wealthy man asks how to inherit eternal life and goes away grieving when told to sell all he has, prompting Jesus to teach how hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom and to promise reward to those who leave everything to follow him.
