"I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger." (John 6:35)

The crowd follows Jesus across the sea seeking more bread, and he tells them to work for the food that endures to eternal life, points beyond the manna given through Moses to the true bread from heaven, and declares that he himself is the bread of life.
