“Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” (John 6:68)

Jesus intensifies the Bread of Life discourse, telling the crowd they must eat his flesh and drink his blood to have life. The saying is so hard that many disciples turn back, and when Jesus asks the Twelve whether they will also leave, Peter confesses that he alone has the words of eternal life.
