“He had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. And he began to teach them many things.” (Mark 6:34)

The apostles return from their mission and Jesus calls them to rest, but crowds hurry ahead to meet them. Seeing the people leaderless and lost, Jesus is moved with compassion and begins to teach them.
