"I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live." (John 11:25)

Jesus delays going to his sick friend Lazarus, arriving in Bethany after Lazarus has been dead four days, and meets first Martha's and then Mary's grief with his own tears. At the tomb he orders the stone rolled away and calls Lazarus out by name, then tells the crowd to unbind him and let him go.
