"I came to bring fire to the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!" (Luke 12:49)

Jesus warns that his coming brings not the peace people expect but division, even within households, as people are forced to take sides. He rebukes the crowd for reading the weather skillfully while failing to interpret the urgency of the present moment.
