"You are the man! ... David said to Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD." (2 Samuel 12:7, 13)

After David takes Bathsheba and has Uriah killed, the prophet Nathan tells him a parable of a rich man who steals a poor man's only lamb, then turns it on David himself. David confesses, and Nathan announces that the Lord has put away his sin. It is the confession the Gospel's sinful woman embodies without a word.
