"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." (John 13:34, NIV)

Immediately after Judas leaves to betray him, Jesus speaks of his coming glorification and gives his remaining disciples a new commandment to love one another as he has loved them. This mutual love, Jesus says, will be the mark by which everyone recognizes them as his disciples.
