"My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me." (John 10:27)

At the winter Feast of the Dedication, Jesus is pressed to say plainly whether he is the Messiah, and answers that his works already testify, and that his sheep know his voice and follow him and can never be snatched from his or the Father's hand. He concludes by declaring, "The Father and I are one."
