Overview & Insights

"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might." (Deuteronomy 6:4-5)

Moses gives Israel the Shema, the confession that the Lord alone is God, commanding wholehearted love for him and charging parents to teach these words diligently to their children at home and away, day and night.
