Overview & Insights

"One thing I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life." (Psalm 27:4)

The psalmist names God as the one sure refuge against fear and names a single longing, to remain in God's presence and gaze on his beauty. The psalm closes by urging the hearer to wait for the Lord and take heart.
