"No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)

Jesus turns decisively toward Jerusalem, is rejected by a Samaritan village, and rebukes his disciples' impulse to call down fire on it. Three would-be followers meet him on the road, and Jesus presses each of them on the cost and urgency of discipleship.
