"God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape." (1 Corinthians 10:13)

Paul recalls Israel's wilderness failures as warnings against idolatry, sexual immorality, and grumbling, saying these things were written down for the instruction of the church. He assures the Corinthians that God is faithful and will provide a way of escape so they can endure temptation.
