"So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable." (1 Corinthians 15:42)
Paul explains that death came through Adam and resurrection life comes through Christ, each in proper order, with Christ's own resurrection as the firstfruits. He then describes the resurrection body as a transformation, sown weak and perishable but raised imperishable, unlike anything merely resuscitated.
