"Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it." (1 Corinthians 12:27)
Paul compares the church to a human body in which many different parts, each necessary and honored, work together as one. He teaches that God arranged the members so weaker and less presentable parts receive greater care, and that suffering or honor for one member affects the whole.
