“In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous Branch to spring up for David; and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.” (Jeremiah 33:15)
God promises that despite the coming judgment on Jerusalem, he will keep his covenant with David by raising up a righteous branch who brings justice. The oracle assures the exiled people that God's word of restoration will surely be fulfilled.
