"Would that all the Lord's people were prophets, and that the Lord would put his spirit on them!" (Numbers 11:29)
As the people crave meat and complain in the wilderness, the Lord tells Moses to gather seventy elders on whom he places his spirit so they share the burden of leadership, and Moses wishes that all the people would prophesy.
