"Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness." (Psalm 115:1)

The psalm gives glory to God alone and contrasts the living LORD who does as he pleases with the lifeless idols of the nations. Those who make idols and trust in them become as powerless as the images they worship.
