"He saved us through the water of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit." (Titus 3:5)

Paul reminds Titus that God's grace has appeared, training believers to live godly lives while they wait for Christ's return. That grace was not earned but poured out through the washing of rebirth, so that believers might become heirs of eternal life.
