Pentecost Season · Year B
Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
July 4, 2027

Overview & Insights
“A prophet is not without honor, except in his hometown and among his relatives and in his own household.” (Mark 6:4)
Jesus returns to teach in the synagogue of his hometown, and the people take offense at the carpenter they think they know. Their unbelief limits the works he does there, and Mark notes that Jesus marveled at their lack of faith.
