"But the free gift is not like the trespass... much more surely have the grace of God and the free gift in the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abounded for the many." (Romans 5:15)

Paul traces how sin and death entered the world through one man, Adam, and spread to all. Against that dark backdrop he sets the abundant grace and free gift that come through the one man Jesus Christ.
